Time to melt your brains

I'm not gonna say much about this. Simply watch the first video, its a bunch of really nice architecture shots, very artistic. Watch at least half of the first video, then click on the link and watch the second video. You should probably sit on a plastic tarp because your brains will melt out of your ears.

  1. Wow...just...wow. That was stunning. When I first started watching it, I was impressed with the focus rolling...I could feel the lens. It wasn't until half way through that I realized what was going on.

It shows the power that computers have, and more importantly, will have in the coming years. The last 20 years have been a great experiment in what what you can imagine as a filmmaker; bringing to life worlds and heroes that weren't otherwise possible. With the many successes computers have brought to cinema, there has been just as many failures. Pushing the boundaries of our minds has been a significant theme of cinema in the past few decades.

Yet I feel with the dawn of a new decade cinema is in a another great shift. Creativity is going to be pushed to a new height, and even more of our dreams are going to come to life. Seeing things like this, and movies like Avatar really push me to believe that we are moving into a new phase in what we can do and imagine in movies.

Again, stunning. Some of the imagery in this video, especially towards the end, is just unbelievably fantastic, and visually incredible.

  4. We've had some 3D classes in DAD and I've seen some cool stuff but this made me want to throw up. I literally can't even begin to understand how he got his lighting and textures to look like that.
