Hey guys! I just figured I'd post some pictures of a few of the things I've been working on. It's been really awesome over here on the other coast, although I wish we could assemble reunions easier. This year has been extremely busy for both mitch and I, this year should be a good one! Mike moved in and we occasionally have movie nights and cook dinners when our schedules permit it. Mitch, Mike, and Erik are kind of obsessed with these snickerdoodles I've been making so I have turned into a cookie slave I really hope all is well for everyone else, it would be really amazing if we could go to vegas or rent a houseboat to take out on a lake or anything sometime soon! I really cant believe how fast the time is passing, it's madness!

I work a lot with this company called riveting entertainment, it's always music videos but those jobs are with my favorite crew.
This is a picture from a dirty money music video, I've done four of his videos now and I can definitely say he is not the nicest man to work with.

These two photos are the before and after of the room I decorated for the subway commercial I just got off of. My designer let's me shop for all the set dressing and then when we shoot I also decorate. When the jobs we do are smaller I coordinate for him and make $350 a day!!!! I think thats really awesome because a lot of the time I only end up working eight hours.

Updates

I've also been meaning to do this Shanna, but I've been crazy busy lately. so here is my update.

So I've been working for a studio in Boston called coBrandIT part-time. We've been working on a series of web commercials for The GM Auto Show that took place in detroit, as well as some videos for FIAT and Dodge. We also have the contract to do all of the web stuff for PUMA. So I've been editing and coloring and making motion graphics part-time for this place as the jobs come in. I also recently found out that I was being let go from my job as the Marketing Manager of the local independent movie theatre I've been working for. There has been a budget deficit for a few years, and because of this they are basically outsourcing my job to a design studio in NH that has a staff of 60 people and it will only cost around 10% more then they are currently paying me. I can't blame them you know? Having a much bigger staff on call for about the same amount of money is something I can't compete with.

But right when this happened I was asked to come to a group interview with the Apple Store, Boylston Street in Boston which is Apple largest store in the US at the moment for a Creative Position. I was one of one hundred asked to come in for the interview out of 20,000 applicants. I went to the group interview and was asked to come back for a second interview. I then made it through 2 more interviews with apple for a total of four interviews for this freaking position. I'm sure it would be easier to get a position with the CIA then with apple. they did a hardcore background check and everything. I ended up getting beaten by one other guy for the position, which kinda sucked, but I'm in the database now for new jobs and the hiring director is sending my resume to other stores in the region.

The best news came today, when I found out I'm being hired by Suffolk University as a Freelance Editor. This seems like a sweet opportunity and I'm very excited about it. I will potentially start next monday.

Danjames

I meant to include this in my last post, but I forgot. I've been playing bass in a band for my friend Daniel. The official name of the band is Danjames. You can find us on iTunes here. Daniel has been writing songs for years now, but this past summer he decided to get a full band together and start really making music. We've played a couple shows, but have been focused mainly on writing and recording. It's been a fun experience because everything has been very grassroots. Daniel's brother, Brad, mixed the album in a shed out behind the house where we practice. Fun fun.

Lots Happening

I was gonna respond to Shanna's post but I had too much to share. I've been learning Cinema 4d lately, that image is something I created today.

I won some awards last week for work I've done at the Spencer Agency. They're called the Addy Awards. They're a local, regional and national competition for advertising. They hand out silver and gold awards. I got a gold award for this tv campaign, and a silver for this. The commercials for which I got the gold award will move onto regional competition, where they will lose and I will never have to see them again (yay!).

Ali is heading off to Romania in less than 3 weeks. She will be there for 10 days as part of team that is helping a hospital build an outreach program that gives away clothes, food, and toys to moms of small children. Why Romania? Well, in Romania its extremely common for women to simply take their infant to a hospital and leave it there for days, weeks and even months at a time. There are a number of reasons they do this, but it mainly seems to be because the mothers feel like they don't have the resources to care for their child. The system that Ali is helping put in place will give the mothers access to the resources they need to take care of their children. More info.
